In contrast to digitally perfected imagery, the photographs celebrate vulnerability and erosion as ways of seeing, while quietly recording my presence within the space. Control and accident merge. I experienced the space as a metaphor for a female organ, protective and cocooning, yet limiting access to light and the outside world, reflecting the act of mothering.
