The CEO & Founder of Hypha Studios picks some of her highlights from the first cohort of Hypha Curates artists. Camilla has personally been involved in selecting every artist & artwork across the platform, so there's no better person to go to for recommendations!

Camilla is the founder of Hypha Studios, a charity established during the pandemic to revitalise high streets by connecting artists with vacant retail spaces. With a background as an experienced contemporary art curator, Cole's model provides artists with free space for their work, in exchange for them hosting free, community-focused events.

Under her leadership, Hypha Studios operates nationally across England, Scotland, and Wales, having provided over £2.5 million worth of free space to creatives across more than 60 locations since its launch around 2021. Her work is dedicated to championing emerging artistic talent and bringing culture and community to empty high street properties.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Before founding Hypha Studios, Camilla Cole built a diverse career in the contemporary art world. For over twenty years she has managed galleries in Mayfair and private art collections, buying, selling, promoting and exhibiting work Separately, she worked independently as a curator under the name Cole Projects. A key focus of Cole Projects was discovering and exhibiting emerging artistic talent, often by showing their work in disused spaces, a practice which developed into Hypha Studios.
