About the Artwork

“Feral Woman” is ongoing series of drawings on archival photographs. The original photograph was taken by artist Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz in early 1900s and is in the collection of the Tatra Museum in Zakopane in form of glass negative. The woman on the photograph, Miss Szembek is depicted on the top of rocks in victory pose. I wanted to give her wings and drawn a flower that she holds in her teeth.
