About the Artwork

My 3D-printed ceramic sculpture responds to the theme analogue by deliberately twisting the expectation of digital precision. Beginning with a base that is rigidly and smoothly printed, the form gradually becomes messy and ripped toward the top, allowing the clay to resist the machine's control. This disturbance exposes the material's own power, instantiate plasticity, moisture, and shrinkage, creating naturally chaotic beauty beyond rigid computing imagination. By mimicking the earthy textures and awkward elegance of Bronze Age artifacts, the work connects digital fabrication with pre-digital craft, highlighting what is lost when ambiguity is smoothed out by technological efficiency. In letting the clay 'fight back', the sculpture creates an elastic, relational space where uncertainty is not an error but a generative force, revealing the analogue as a rebel to the digital worldview.
