About the Artwork

The Stem Series captures the plant stem’s struggle to balance as it grows toward light. Each stem bends like a tentacle, shaped by gravity and phototropism, reflecting the plant’s constant interaction with its environment. This dynamic cycle of giving and receiving highlights the evolving relationship between the plant and its surroundings. The stems form a living web, growing tighter and more interconnected over time. Their urgent movement toward light under gravity’s pull mirrors the resilience and struggle inherent in human life.
