About the Artwork
This work treats the analogue as a material record of experience rather than a system of precision. Two reclaimed steel panels from a rescue boat retain scars and erosion that act as embodied archives, shaped by use, exposure, and contingency. The carved, map-like pattern suggests navigation without certainty, tracing an intuitive geography formed through material memory. A subtle iridescent dusting introduces metaphor and perception as modes of knowing. Together, these elements foreground wear, uncertainty, and duration, positioning the analogue as a relational space that reveals what exceeds digital logic.
