About the Artwork

Satellite Broadcasting (2025) explores the intersection of supernatural phenomena and technological sublime. Emerging from my ongoing Mountain Rocks project, the painting draws on the language of typographic cross-section graphs - visual systems that aim for objectivity and transparency. In contrast, the title references the opaque hierarchies of power embedded in broadcast technologies and surveillance. Layered mountainous forms evoke elevated, otherworldly terrains, destabilising the boundary between natural and constructed environments. The work sits within a wider inquiry into synthetic memory, crisis architecture, and the visual codes used to rationalise complex, often ungovernable forces.
