About the Artwork
This installation uses cardboard, tape, and other everyday materials to build provisional architectural forms that resist the clean precision associated with digital systems. Its structures are handmade, uneven, and visibly constructed through trial, error, and adjustment, embracing the analogue qualities of approximation and imperfection. The work highlights how meaning can emerge from process rather than calculation: folds, joins, and makeshift supports reveal decisions that are tactile and situational, not optimized or standardized.
By using fragile, temporary materials to suggest architectural forms, the work points to the distance between idealized digital designs and the messy, hands-on reality of actually building something. Its mobility and modularity suggest that the forms can be reconfigured or adapted, emphasizing relational thinking over fixed outcomes. In these ways, the work positions the analogue not as outdated technology, but as a way of knowing that values uncertainty, nuance, and the embodied experience of building.
