About the Artwork

Through my most recent ceramic series Folklore Echoes (2025), I seek to revisit and reinterpret lost traditions and histories that connect me to my country of origin by referring to both folklore and political events that have shaped modern Poland. It provides a space to consider my relationship to craft—often positioned in contrast to fine art. Weaving the Past with the Present: Folklore Echoes, features photographs selected from the Polish National Archive. My publication served as crucial conceptual reference and directly informed the sculptural process while developing Folklore Echoes.
