About the Artwork

From a limited series of six glass wall sculptures framed in white acrylic with a back mount hole. Originally inspired by researching the concept of dark matter, invisible material that structures the universe, the series is a study of incomplete information: what we assume, what we imagine, what we know. Energised by the fluorescent yellow glow painted on the back, the mysterious form hovers in the frame.

The glass projects from the frame and is mounted on to a 3cm deep acrylic frame with an integrated key-hole for hanging on a nail or screw.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lisa Pettibone (b. 1960) is a visual artist based in the UK. She has an MA Art and Science from Central Saint Martins, London. Working in sculpture, installation and photo-led print she is an elected member of the Royal Sculpture Society. Recipient of four Arts Council England awards including a residency at MSSL Spacelab (2019) and Instrument of Thought installation at Collect London (2022). Her microgravity sculpture Verdant was on the Moon Gallery ISS Mission. She exhibited with London Art Collective at the Saatchi Gallery for Art Evol, 2025 and was featured in Art in Orbit, by Barbara Brownie, Bloomsbury.
