About the Artwork

‘Winner Takes All’ is a dioramic vista set on a wooden shelf, marking the end of a self-defeating game. A kleptocratic victor stands atop the winner's podium, their opponents dead and gone. Red mugs carrying the refrain ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ grace the second and third spots. The victor stands alone, surrounded by a wasteland of cracked paving, broken balls, and rotted vegetation. Yet the skeleton stands tall, challenging the viewer to a new game.
