‘Who U Lookin At' reflects on a recently closed shopping centre in east Belfast, evoking warm, nostalgic memories of family visits. The central figure in the image is possibly the artist as a child. The title plays on a familiar Belfast phrase, often used among teenagers, when someone continues to stare at you.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ellie Niblock (b. 1993) is an Irish artist based in London. She holds an MA from Central Saint Martins and a BA from Ulster University. Her work has been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Her work is part of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland's permanent collection. In 2021, she was a featured artist on Sky Arts' Landmark, where she created a large-scale public art installation.
