About the Artwork

Swaddled: Shrouded The title refers to the textiles used to wrap a human body at the beginning of life and its end, a textile bookend. It can also allude to being swaddled in terms of receiving information, like from authorities or parental figures. In the same way things can be shrouded in mystery, whether it be from things being unknowable or deliberately kept from us.
