'Breeze' is part of a Summer Trilogy, a series exploring different moments of the season. This painting signifies the beginning of summer, when the sun feels warm and the world awakens gently. Sunlight lingers, nature bursts with green and colour, and the air carries a soft breeze — a mix of warm earth and blooming flowers. It is called 'Breeze' to capture this transition from the cold, still days of winter to the vibrancy and energy of summer. It is a moment of lightness, a time to slow down, breathe, and feel the pleasure of being alive.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ioana Elecfi is a Romanian-British artist. She studied at the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest and completed an MA at Camberwell College of Arts, London. In 2025, she was a winner of the i-D x Ray-Ban RED Global Art Competition, with her work featured in i-D Magazine. In 2024, she received the People’s Choice Award at the LGC x Theo Paphitis Art Prize. Her work has been exhibited at A Hundredth Link in a Chain at Outhouse Gallery, Artizm Launch Exhibition, Camden Summer Show at Bow Arts, Portray at The Biscuit Factory, and Absurd at Studio P52.
