About the Artwork

When I immigrated to the UK, my focus shifted from façades to the mass and volume of buildings. I began drawing these forms, creating a personal visual archive, a shape library. This growing collection became the foundation for a series of collages, where I layered and combined architectural shapes to explore how structures intersect and relate to one another. Through this process, I reflect on themes of belonging, transition, and the built environment’s impact on identity. The work continues to evolve as I encounter new forms, transforming observations into a visual language that bridges memory, space, and structure.
