About the Artwork

Digital Cocoon invites viewers into a dark space of suspended, skin-like textiles, illuminated by digital projections of leaves.
Semi-transparent burnt fabric reflects and filters light through fire-made lacerations and layered textures, creating an intricate play of shadow and light.
The project reflects on a social trend of withdrawal from physical interaction into isolated, virtual worlds.
Drawing on metamorphosis, the artist reveals the flip side of cocooning: a reversal of human existence from butterfly to a state of isolated, larva-like immobility.
