About the Artwork

Developed collaboratively with Jamie Seechurn (@thameswater, https://thameswater.studio) alongside the video installation On Data, As Dust-yet existing as a standalone work-Interstice is a welded steel structure that houses a screen and motherboard, threaded within a network of wires. It functions as a reflexive memory system: observing the viewer and feeding that experience back into itself. The work becomes a looped mechanism of perception and erasure-a window through which memory is formed, only to be forgotten.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ciana Taylor (b. 1999) is an Irish artist based in London. She holds a BA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts (2023). That same year, she was awarded the Chelsea Arts Club Stan Smith Award. She has since received two awards from the Roscommon Arts Council and a grant from Arts Council England. Her work has been included in several exhibitions, including In the Press at Hypha Studios (2025). She is due to exhibit at Flat Time House in September 2025.
