About the Artwork
In 'Moments of Being', Virginia Woolf likens memory to 'lying in a grape and seeing through a film of semi-transparent yellow', suggesting that different perspectives alter our perceptions. Imagine viewing the world through grape skin; it becomes lucid and dreamlike. These works explore the temporal nature of existence. Much of daily life is lived unconsciously as we shift in and out of focus, lost in thought. The use of handblown glass allows the piece to come alive, reflecting light and embodying the outward breath as a meditative space. Everything "breathes" as change manifests.
