Si Sapsford

Si Sapsford MRSS (b. 1964) lives and works in the UK. She studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art, graduating with First Class Honours in 1997, and completed an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 1999.

She is a multidisciplinary artist working across kinetic installation, sculpture, drawing and moving image. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the National Portrait Gallery, Royal Academy, Zabludowicz Collection, Whitechapel Gallery and Compton Verney. She currently works as a Gallery Educator at the National Portrait Gallery and hosts My Private View, an arts and culture podcast and radio programme.

Before studying art, Sapsford travelled extensively as a professional long-distance sailor and later worked as a Traffic and Logistics Coordinator for Bechtel during the Kuwait Oil Field Restoration project, before continuing with the reconstruction phase.
