Emma Ridgway
Emma Ridgway (b.1987, Stafford) studied illustration at Falmouth University. In 2016 she received a Communication Arts Award of Excellence for editorial illustrations for Smithsonian Magazine, and in 2018 her collages were included in a report by National Institute for Art History (INHA), Paris. Her work has appeared in group shows at Cafe Oto and the Foundry Gallery, The Copeland Gallery and Somerset House.
Between 2017 and 2025, she worked as an artists assistant and later as a scenic painter, working on installations for Tate, The Whitechapel Gallery and The Wellcome Collection. In 2023 Thin Red Lion art collective was founded, with London group shows at Hypha studios (in Farringdon and Stratford), The Crypt, hARTslane, APT and the Bomb Factory Marylebone.
