About the Artwork

This monotype forms part of a collection of work that explores the relationship between domestic architecture, specifically the bathroom, and the human body. The work attempts to articulate the weight of privacy found within these moments and how such experiences coincide with the connection between the body and the mind.

Davis is equally fascinated by the dynamics of the space, exploring how the shower can be both communal and universally experienced while simultaneously maintaining a profound sense of intimacy.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Olivia Davis (b. 2004) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Loughborough University and is currently studying for a Master’s in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. Following her undergraduate degree, she was awarded the Artist Futures Fund – Breakthrough Artist Fellowship at Loughborough University, where she continued to develop her artistic practice.

In June 2026, she presented her debut solo exhibition, 'Privacy Lover', in collaboration with Youth Unlocked. The exhibition brought together a collection of work developed during her time on the AFF fellowship, with several of these works featuring in 'Tender Vessels' at Hypha Studios.
