About the Artwork

"Untitled Polaroids – Series I, Part One" is a collection of hand-painted, double-exposed Polaroids and the beginning of a new body of work, driven by wanderlust and an urge to explore my surroundings — wherever I find myself. Through abstraction, these images erase distance and place, blending colour, shape and texture. They offer viewers a moment of suspension, inviting them to drift — to a different mood, or an unknown landscape. The work continues my interest in how image and memory shape our sense of belonging.

The artwork is framed. The frame is a professionally, custom made and hand painted wood-frame with art glass (anti reflective glass). It has d-rings and a wire attached to it on the upper half of the back to hang the frame. The frame can be easily hung on hooks, nails or any other kind of wall attaching through the wire that is sturdily fixed to its back.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Vivien Carolyn Reinert (b. 1995) is a mixed media artist based in Camden, London. She studied Textiles at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. Her work, which explores storytelling and public memory, has been exhibited at Roha Gallery and during London Craft Week. Recent commissions include Cunard’s Queen Anne and a public mural project with Agora Arts Circle. Her practice has been featured in "Queen Anne – The Art Collection" and on the Talk Art podcast.
