About the Artwork

Slim lengths of slim wood have been cut and reconfigured in a way that propels movement and creating an energetic rhythmic interplay between solid form and void. The wood is stapled together with the metal fastenings acting not merely as connectors but as subtle directional cues. These metallic points catch the eye and guide the gaze through the sculpture inviting a visual choreography. There is a tension between the rawness of the construction and the fluidity of the lines—a physical drawing in three dimensions.
