Glass In Two Halves From Home

Melted broken glass, clothing
10 x 12 x 0.5 cm

Regular price £80.00
About the Artwork

This piece is a melted glass cup which broke into two down the middle. From the sharp shards of the two halves the glass has been put through a slumping process, transforming it into a softer safer to handle object. This new form similarly dysfunctional
to the broken cup shows a half baked process, still remaining in two pieces with a memory of the circular base of the glass. This work explores themes of domesticity, memory, action, rage and transformation. The remnants of an action is present in this
piece.
