About the Artwork

Taken on a vintage Leica camera with expired ilford 35m film, the monochrome presentation is analogue-coded, grainy film photography, and darkroom development.
Altogether the space communicates the essence of analogue culture: wooden hand-crafted furniture and panels, physical media, and a sensory, unhurried relationship with information and creativity.

Vikki Rutter

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Vikki Rutter (b. 1984) is a Lomography photographer and television camera operator based in London. Influenced by her work in restoring old cameras, she uses vintage models from 1926 and 1951 with expired 120 film to create double and triple-exposure photos. Her work challenges traditional perception by revealing an enigmatic metamorphosis in landscapes, remaining concealed until the moment of exposure. Rutter's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Lacuna Art Festival in Lanzarote and People over Profit in Geneva.
