Kate Williams
Kate Williams work across sculpture, textiles and installation, using quilting to construct both images and environments through two strands, Pool and Soft. Although formally distinct, both explore the ways in which illusion, comfort and material seduction shape our willingness to enter fictional spaces. Kate is interested in the strange pleasure inherent in the recognition that a world is constructed, while continuing to fully inhabit it.
Kate's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Barbati Gallery, Venice (2026), Safehouse Peckham (2025), SLQS Gallery (2024), and more. Featured in publications such as The Guardian, FAD Magazine, Elle Decoration, and more.
