About the Artwork

“ID” delves into the unseen weight of pervasive surveillance—an omnipresent gaze that exists in the shadows. While surveillance promises illumination and control, it simultaneously casts a psychological darkness, evoking unease and internal conflict. The work positions viewers within this tension, where observation blurs the lines between exposure and obscurity, visibility and erasure. Through this lens, ID becomes a meditation on how the technological gaze shapes not only our perception of the world but also the liminal spaces between awareness and paranoia, freedom and constraint.
