About the Artwork

For fabric of fluency (sky) the setting of the work plays a vital role in shifting the perspective of the installation to one of reverence and reflection. The work creates a moment of contemplation, inviting visitors to engage deeply with the more-than-human kin responsible for creating the abstract compositions across the tapestries. The context of the plants used to dye each piece marks them as being in ritualistic communion with the nonhuman elements that now find themselves within these walls.
