About the Artwork

Centred around the symbolism of objects and roles within storytelling, the artist questions the depiction of female protagonists as passive. The work aims to reclaim the narrative of the stories, trying to reposition the role of the female characters as active participants. Set values are exchanged in an attempt to blur the lines between archetypes. The work revisits to the roots of creating a story or a myth with excitement and a new perspective. Concerned with the idea of the miraculous and transformation, the objects should be encountered in a stage of becoming, a space between reality and fantasy.
