About the Artwork

'Out of chaos comes a poem', is one of many charcoal drawings and paintings I've done with an aesthetic which was born out of drawing traditional still life compositions. Arrangements of fruit on a table drawn in only one light source gradually became simplified spheres placed within two dimensional, gestural surroundings.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Tim Barnes was born in Sheffield, 1989.
Studying sculpture, he graduated from Manchester School of Art BA with first class honours and Wimbledon college of art MA with distinction. His multidisciplinary practice has combined painting, kinetic sound sculpture and printmaking.
