About the Artwork

-
squeezed through sieve
pushed through mesh
coating chicken wire
sagging softly in satsuma bag
melted through by rusty fence
clinging to disposable bbq grate
-
Like much of my work, Recovery explores the relationship between material, accumulation and memory but - being made in the aftermath of having no studio for over a year - it also reflects on the impact a forced hiatus in making has on artistic identity and well being.
