About the Artwork

This painting is inspired by my sea swimming, nature, AI, climate change, psychology and folk tales and seeks to capture a sense of the strangeness of the world right now. My interest in folk tales and other stories draws on their existential and creationist narratives to seek connections through deep time until the present. the title of this work was inspired by Rudyard Kipling Just So story 'How the Whale Got His Throat'.
