About the Artwork

Victory, Loss' is a digital collage made as part of my first solo show 'Factory Reset' in 2022. This body of work is influenced by the media prevalent during lockdown – games, memes, online interfaces, app design – as well as the surreal influences of Magritte and Chagall, and traditions of Trompe-l'oeil painting and hobbyist craft-making. A dog's disembodied eyes follow us around the room, as we keep up a faux smile amidst the pain.
