About the Artwork

The Seductress consists of two canvas panels, hung on the wall without gap. Five headless female bodies intertwine and overlap, appearing smooth, wet, and boneless, forming a gender-fluid, flesh-and-blood body landscape, creating a dialogue between the body itself and the unseen desire. The Seductress was completed in my studio at the Royal College of Art in 2025. Each stroke is a ghost, each stroke is a dance with love.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rainy Tong (Qiuxiang Liu) is a London-based Chinese painter. She graduated in Painting(MA) in Royal College of Art. Rainy presented solo exhibitions at RuptureXIBIT in London in 2025 and participated in group exhibitions including Saatchi Gallery, Silian Gallery, Espacio Gallery Space, Safe House, among others. Her performance work Ghost Touch and poetry piece Eat the Moment were published in the book I Am Human and presented at the ICA Book Fair by Wild Parlour in 2025.
