About the Artwork

EXO is a structure of thought, it mirrors and reinforces your own image. I wonder about the liminal space between what we do and what we are, the space between culture and nature, the self and the world, how they feed on each other and coexist. Global belief systems and ideologies, or one’s personal moral code and habits. It’s all the same. Your habits are religion. Your discipline is rituals backed by ideologies. This is how you deal with the world, this is the system you employ to get closer to your vision, and ultimately, this is your vision.

EXO 03 is a two-part shipment.
Crate 1 = exoskeleton main body + shoulder cover.
Crate 2 = Custom floor stand.

1 - Place the floor stand in the desired position.

2 - Place the exoskeleton main body on the stand. The main body has a rectangular 'pocket' hook on its back, while the stand has a rectangular bar at its highest point. Simply slide the main body 'pocket' onto the bar of the stand.

The bar has a rod sticking out of it. When the main body is slid onto the bar, the rod will match a semicircular indentation on the main body back 'pocket'.

3 - Place shoulder cover onto the main body. There is a magnet on top of the 'pocket' hook at the back of the main body. Simply align the magnet on top of the 'pocket' with the magnet at the back of the shoulder cover.

4 - Make sure the stand, the main body, and the shoulder cover are symmetrically aligned.

--- The installation is quite straight forward upon examining its components. The artist can provide video instructions if needed.
