ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nanci Byrne (b. 1988) is a London-based painter. She has a BA in Textiles from London Metropolitan University and is studying for an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art on the Frank Bowling Scholarship. She won the Sanderson prize at New designers (2022) and the Cover Magazine rug competition (2021). Her work explores mother/womanhood and is influenced by 17th-century tapestries and video games.
