About the Artwork

Affective Sediments II is an oil painting on canvas exhibited in A Levitating Territory at Filet Space, London, in 2026. The work explores landscape as a living space that carries history and serves as a metaphor for personal transformation. The figure assumes an almost sculptural presence, evoking both the weight and fragility of matter, something that can break while preserving the traces of its past. Like geological sediments shaped over time, emotional experiences accumulate, shift, and transform, leaving lasting imprints that continue to shape our memory and the way we inhabit the world.
