About the Artwork
"Four Seasons" is inspired by a Suzhou garden where four windows represent the changing seasons through floral motifs associated with spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Composed of four individual panels with clay-built surfaces, the work brings fragments of these architectural forms together to create a single portal. Layered shadows and overlapping shapes suggest the passage of time and the transformation of memory, while the arrangement of the panels encourages viewers to move between multiple perspectives and temporal states.
