About the Artwork

Yet my Dark sides True is part of the project Situated Knowledges, a multidisciplinary body of work exploring the interplay between ecological systems and human-made infrastructures. It reflects research conducted at Drumclog Moor and Scotland’s nuclear sites, using species like Usnea Subfloridana and Fomes Fomentarius as bioindicators of environmental health. The work embraces ambiguity, mapping terrains through a semi-fictional lens to question dominant narratives of knowledge. Through a multispecies, techno-sensual perspective, it investigates how human actions shape ecosystems, and blurs the boundaries between nature, culture, and technology—offering an embodied, temporal meditation on environmental impact and resilience.
