About the Artwork

The work takes inspiration from Astrida Neimanis' work “Bodies of Water: Posthuman Feminist Phenomenology”. From the watery womb to the watery world, our bodies are made of water, both in a physical sense, with cultural aspects and biological aspects. Water is not something external to us, but constitutes our own materiality. Through hydrological cycles, water connects all beings across time and space, creating a logic of connection that transcends human boundaries into a more expansive sense of “we”.
