Sculpture based on Japanese earrings bought at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Earrings of different colors were sold based on a Japan exhibition held at the museum. Part of the project These presents, which studied souvenirs sold in London museum shops that take objects from other cultures as a basis to transform them into functional and salable objects.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Felipe Pineda Rojas (Viña del Mar, 1995) is a Chilean visual artist based in London, whose practice primarily focuses on sculpture and installation.

He holds an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA in Fine Art from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His work has been presented in solo and duo exhibitions across Chile, the UK, and Europe, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, Koppel Project in London, and Gemeinde Köln in Cologne, among others.
His exhibitions include Delivery System: Second Movement at Gemeinde Köln, Cologne; These Presents, Goldsmiths MFA Degree Show; Dicho a mano at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago; Delivery System at Koppel Project, London; Radio Sola at Espacio 550; and Escuchar lo real lo inaudito at Espora Galería.
