As a creative, I want to harvest positivity. This painting plays with the tension between stillness and growth. Questioning whether it’s romanticizing procrastination or simply honouring the quiet power of time. Rather than rushing toward resolution, I embrace the unfolding: allowing ideas to linger, breathe, and evolve. It reflects a way of living with thoughts, letting them settle and take root, until they begin to grow in harmony with the self. In this patient space, time is a giver, delivering what’s needed when it’s ready.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Steves Bouvier (b. 1982, Lyon, France) is a non-academic painter based in London. He grew up in Canada and studied commercial photography in Montreal. In 2014, he self-produced a small show at the Shipton gallery. In 2025, he presented the Capsule at ASC Cleaver Street and was invited to the group show Symbiotic Epidermis at Hypha Studios, Marble Arch. He has no awards or press, other than being mentioned in the promotion for John Angel Rodriguez's show.
