About the Artwork

This work explores the idea of a letter. It is inspired by ancient scripts, objects from the past and the diary as a container of thoughts. I have a fascination with places that have many lives, with object that are reused, with traces of the past. This work relates to the passage from East to West that many of us undertook. More generally, I want to explore the stories of people and places and investigates the relationships between the moving body, home architecture and the city.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Vanessa Nova Nassar (b. 1983, Beirut) lives and works in London. She trained as an architect, qualifying in 2006. Her recent group exhibitions and competitions include the Blue Planet project 2024, a Summer Salon 2024 at Candid Gallery, and Beyond Borders group show 2024. She also participated in the Riverside artists group show in 2022.
