About the Artwork

This painting like the others in the series is a meditative offering finding beauty in overlooked urban scenes—an enclosed garden, a neglected lot, a decaying modernist house, fragmented memory that evokes intimacy and dislocation. The oval format reinforces memory's transient nature, echoing their digital origins as social media screenshot. The urban scene is static yet emotionally charged narrative, devoid of people. Isolated elements like houseplants become symbolic anchors. The small scale invites engagement with the tension between the monumental and the personal, ultimately reconsidering landscape and memory within urban life's forgotten corners.
