“Being In The Way” is a sculpture that I made with a commercial object and writing that I had produced about 30 years ago.  Work is a reflection on contemporary value and exchange of personal information, through which emotion is transformed to commodity.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Danka Nisevic (b.1979, former Yugoslavia) is a sculptor who lives and works in London. She holds BA (Hons) Fine Art from Ruskin School of Fine Art, University of Oxford and MA Sculpture from Royal College of Art. She is the recipient of Piriye Prize, Oxford University Press and Leverhulme Arts Scholarship. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions.
