About the Artwork

This experimental sculptural piece is made from 1mm steel sheets. Sawn, sanded and welded. For the blueish brownish surface effect I have torched the steel after angle grinding. I have sprayed half of the piece with varnish to protect it. The approximately 50% of the piece which is not varnished will be naturally rusting over time. The piece is already showing marks of wear and tear. With drilling I have pierced holes to sew yarn tassels.
I have added one more small additional support bracket on the piece since these photos have been taken.

Medium: Steel, Varnish, Fittings

Year: 2026

Size: 150 x 50 x 150 cm

Ready to Hang: Yes

The sculptural piece has a 3.5kg heavy wall fitting to be first installed on 131cm height, so the tail end of the piece is not
touching the ground but suspended 5-10cm from the ground. After installing the wall fitting the sculptural piece needs to be built up piece by piece with screws and bolts. I would like to ideally install the piece myself but I will attach installing instructions. The piece has approximately 13 brackets that have each approximately 4 holes to attach screws and bolts to make the piece secure and strong.
