About the Artwork

Caroline Ingham’s sculptural practice explores the tension between strength and fragility through non-figurative, three-dimensional forms that evoke the human body. Using a process unique to her practice, she works with distemper-impregnated paper that is waxed and stitched, creating forms that appear both durable and delicate. These materials allow her to explore surface, skin, and structure in ways that echo the physical and emotional landscape of the body.
