About the Artwork

Grace is a fine artist whose work explores addiction, recovery, place and memory through an analogue, intuition-led approach.
Beginning with fragments taken from a decaying wall outside her first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, she uses abstraction to both conceal and suggest personal narratives. Thin, layered applications of oil paint mirror lost time, faded recollections and
the instability of memory, creating surfaces where colours blur, shift and partially erase what came before. Her practice embraces ambiguity as a form of resistance, inviting viewers into spaces of disappearance, emotional nuance and atmospheric depth that elude fixed or digital modes of interpretation.
