Glimmer Beneath Carapace Façade

Emulsion on treated wood
70 x 50 x 18 cm

Regular price £4,200.00
About the Artwork

This work embodies the artist’s inquiry into architectural form and its relationship to identity. Constructed with treated wood and emulsion, the work comprises overlapping, curved panels that suggest hidden layers and protected interiors. These gestures prompt reflection on what lies beneath external structures, highlighting façades as both protective shields and restrictive barriers. The sculpture engages viewers in considering how urban environments both conceal and reveal aspects of personal and communal identity. Extending the artist’s ongoing exploration of spatial interaction and psychological impact, the work resonates with exhibitions on home, identity, adaptation, architecture, and the fluid negotiations of space-making.
