About the Artwork

Rooted in Greek mythology, the series Kairos explores the concept of time and change in relation to nature. Metaphorically, Kairos is present when a shoot breaks through the soil toward the light, when buds open into flowers, or when pods burst into seeds. All these transformations release microscopic dust particles that continually accumulate in our soils.

Formed from pieces that unify the purity of porcelain with foraged soil and wall paintings that highlight the bold beauty of raw clay, Kairos represents the artist’s abstraction of the silent transformations that occur in nature and often go unnoticed amid the chaos of contemporary times.

Kairos paintings explore muted tones and textured surfaces, inviting viewers to discover the intricate nuances of clay applied to linen and wood. In these works, the artist treats unrefined clay as a living archive, a testament to the quiet transformation of raw matter into expressive form. Through each layer, the piece speaks to the timeless rhythm of change and growth in nature.
